How to Automate Recurring Reports with AI

Every Monday morning, someone on your team manually pulls numbers from Salesforce, cross-references Jira, and writes a summary in Slack. That person's time is worth more than copy-paste work. STROKIX proactive agents handle recurring reports on a schedule, pulling live data and posting formatted summaries wherever your team already works.

What Proactive Agents Do

Proactive agents are event-driven automations that run without a prompt. You define a schedule and a task. The agent executes at the specified time, queries your connected tools, and delivers the result.

Unlike traditional scheduled reports that pull from a static dashboard, proactive agents use the full STROKIX intelligence layer. They can reason across multiple data sources, highlight anomalies, and provide context.

Step 1: Define the Report Scope

Start by identifying what data the report needs. In the STROKIX admin panel, navigate to Agents, then Proactive. Create a new agent and describe the report in plain language.

The agent builder parses your description and maps it to the required connectors. It will confirm which integrations are needed before activation.

Step 2: Configure Schedule and Delivery

Schedules use standard cron syntax under the hood, but the UI lets you pick from presets: daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or custom.

For delivery, select a Slack channel, an email distribution list, or both. Reports delivered to Slack include formatting: headers, bullet points, and key metrics highlighted.

Step 3: Test and Activate

Before going live, use the 'Run Now' button to trigger the agent immediately. Review the output. If the summary needs adjustment, edit the agent description and iterate.

Once satisfied, toggle the agent to Active. Every execution is logged in the audit trail with the full output and any errors.

Examples of Reports Teams Automate

Sales teams run daily pipeline movement reports. Engineering teams automate sprint retrospective data pulls. Customer success teams generate weekly health score changes. Finance teams use monthly queries across Stripe and Salesforce to produce board-ready summaries.

The deal-risk monitor agent specifically watches for deals that stall or regress and alerts the assigned rep before a manager has to ask.
